Sweet Bridal Shower

This weekend included the gathering of dear Megan as bride.
We pulled together the friends who were in town this weekend,
 her mom and dear grandmother
 for a personal shower.
Desserts in the Garden.

Daughter Sara and I set up a fun spot on the lower deck.

Draped some doilies and crochet work on twine.
Hung up my grandmother's nightgown from 90 years ago.

Set out violet centerpieces- one for each guest.

A few old petticoats.

Square tables and vintage blue tablecloths

My mother's dressing gown from her honeymoon.
  60 years ago this month.

A beverage station.

Desserts to sample.

Pink flowers adorned the  garden.

We gathered and visited.

They slipped to the studio to craft a surprise for Megan and Matt.

They added a blessing to the gift "smash" book
 for the bride and groom
full of photos of the story of dating and engagement.

Lights came on in the garden.

As darkness fell, the lovely bride opened her beautiful gifts.

 The group gathered
(sorry about the fuzzy photo)

to send a blessing prayer over this married couple to be.

The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.

    Numbers 6:23-27

  1. Lovely Connie. It was such a beautiful evening and we are so thankful for the gift you and Sara gave "US" that night. Your graciousness and thoughtfulness was incredible. - Anne (BTW, I am using Megan's account)
