Bible Journaling- Consider the Lilies

Bible Journaling Series- #283

Matthew 6:28
Sometimes Bible Journaling is not so much
the creation of drawings or art myself,
as thinking about the images
that connect to the Scripture.
I am a saver, with piles of things
from worship services, events,
mailings or magazines.
As I was spending some time
in the 6th Chapter of Matthew,
I remembered an image that my friend, Pat,
had quickly made for me
when she was "playing"with gelatos.
At the same time I was meditating on these verse,
I was going through
 vintage Ideals magazines getting ready
for a Creative Haven event at my house.
I saw the page from a 1940's Spring edition.
So, an interleaved Bible and these 2 images-
and my "collage" was done.
It is important to remember that just because
it comes together quickly,
this doesn't detract from
the "marking the moment"

  1. Constance this was a lovely post. I am a new visitor and hopefully new friend to your blog! I stumbled onto because one of your scripture photo's was pinned. I hope you
don't mind but I loved it so much I featured it today on my blog.
    The link is here:
I really loved meeting you. I am going to spend the afternoon reading your blog. I am new to paper crafting if that is the word. I am sure I can learn from you.
I have been thinking about doing scripture journaling on my old written journals.
I loved what you said that you are a collector of things. Me too. We are kindred spirits. I am sure I'll be leaving more comments as I visit your pages!
    Have a blessed day.

    1. thanks Lynn for stopping by and sharing a note and a shout out on your blog- much appreciated.
Hope you enjoy checking things out at Vintage Grace and seeing the story of an ordinary life blessed by an extraordinary God.
