Worship into the Week- Rise and Go

Worship into the Week
Thanksgiving Day
Jesus Cleanses 10 Lepers
Luke 17: 11-19

In this story of the aftermath of healing the lepers,
 Jesus asked about gratitude.
He ws in the land between Galilee and Samaria.
The Jews had little regard for the Samaritans,
but this is who returned after seeing the priests.
 A Samaritan- the least likely.
In least likely scenarios-
there is always something to be grateful for.
A time to return and give praise.

Gracious Father,
Many our faith be strong enough to remember
that we give thanks and praise to you FIRST.
May we remember to give thanks
for each and every good gift.
Not just on Thanksgiving Day,
but that every day be in thanksgiving.
Amen.

Worship into the Week- The Least

Worship into the Week
Matthew 25:31-46
The Final Judgment
Christ the King Sunday

Jesus is pretty plain when
he talks about the subject of judgment.
Christ the King returns for final judgment
to divide the sheep and the goats.
He paints a scenario of caring for the least,
seeing those who usually go unseen,
and finding ways to provide for those who need help.
Jesus says, "Truly, I say to you,
as you did it to one of the least
of these my brothers, you did it to me."
Sometimes we need to really understand
 that it's the little things.
When our dear Shepherd gathers his sheep
 and tenderly cares for them-
we are his little ones.

Worship into the Week- Use Your Gifts

Worship into the Week-
Matthew 25:14-30

 Use your Gifts

"Well done, good and faithful servant."

Those are the words I want to hear Jesus

say when I get to heaven.

"You have been faithful over a little;

I will set you over much.

enter into the joy of your master."

Do not hide your talent,

your God-given gifts.

Use them, multiply them, grow them.

Bless the Kingdom with all the things

the Lord has prepared for you in your days.

"For everyone who has will more be given,

and he will have an abundance."

The forecast to those who have not used

their gifts is just not good-

outer darkness and there will be

weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Seems like it is

Time to Make an Impact.

The Amazing November Scripture Writing Plan

This is the November Scripture writing plan
that I am currently using this year.

Today I wrote out the significant part
of this reading for today- November 18.

The truth is that I created this project in 2016-
with every intent of finishing it that year.
Life doesn't always finish on intent.
I think I have added to each each year since then-
with every good intention of finishing
 the Scripture writing that year.
But, just because THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN-
 doesn't mean that the PROCESS
and the Biblical connections are any less relevant.

I often think about how God and time
are probably so different in how that all gets played out
 in the world.
 My agenda and my timeline
and my parameters might be important,
but I also believe that God uses all
the bits offered to him through the years
to make a wonderful finished blessing.
This is the amazing Scripture writing plan,
because I am still writing- not that I finished.
No matter the sequence of the journey
or the detours on the way,
keep moving forward, dear friend.
Pick it up again, start over,
or start anew.
And..... I am not dating my little booklet
 till it gets finished.
By grace... we shall see.

The lovely website below is where
I got this plan that I am following.
Below is the new 2020 November Scripture
writing plan and you can find that right here:

Worship into the Week- Be Prepared

Worship into the Week-

The Parable of the Ten Virgins

Matthew 25: 1-13

Watch, Be Prepared.

We don't know the day or the hour.

This parable is a reminder

for a call to readiness.

Each and every day could be

 the return of King Jesus.

Worship into the Week- Peacemakers

Worship into the Week- Peacemakers
Matthew 5: 8-9
This election week in America has caused
me to pray for our country on a daily basis.
Over and over again I have prayed
for pure hearts for our leaders.
Over and over again I have prayed
that our leaders would be peacemakers,
 not the energy behind division.
I pray that our country
would return to you, O Lord.
May they see who is most important- YOU.
May there be a return to our leaders
 of humble, servant hearts.
May you lead us, Lord. Amen.

Halloween Gatherings

Joined the crew in Michigan
 for Halloween this year.
In this 2020 year,
we decided to have a cousin party.
Five bigger friends.
The littlest guy with daddy
also was here for the party.
Sweet little Hadley
made an adorable little skunk.
She was also pretty in pink.
Hard to get them together, right?
Busy mommas getting lunch.
Sisters celebrating with Hadley.
Momma and daughter with "her baby."
Our littlest pumpkins.
Our Virginia dino crew this year.
This little guy has a really great ROOAARR!
This little one wasn't sure about a costume this year,
but he kept in on long enough for a photo.
Newly hatched little dino.
So let's have a candy hunt like an
 Easter egg hunt,
when it is a COVID 19 year.
This guy is in his element!
This is a really tall dino dad.
Don't need a costume to do a candy hunt!

Fun to visit at Papa and Gigi's house.
This little dino is as cute as can be.
Even in this very different year,
we give thanks for family time together.
