Worship into the Week- Fear Not!

 Worship into the Week
Matthew 10:26-33
Have NO Fear
Confess Christ confidently,
 shamelessly, courageously
 and boldly to the World.
"And do not fear those who kill the body
 but cannot kill the soul.
Rather fear him who can destroy
both soul and body in hell."

In these days when there
is so much unknown-
it might be a good thing to just play this
"FEAR NOT"
theme on automatic repeat.

Jonah is ONE

They keep saying this Happy Birthday thing.
ONE. ONE. ONE.
Jonah is one.
Will they try to keep me
 in the middle?
This stand up thing
can be done one handed...
This is my wild and crazy family.
Hmmm Papa,
a sippy cup, what's in it?
Big brother does good with the gift thing..
I see books...
 Maybe over here.....
OOHH!  these things wiggle on my card!
Can you eat them?
 Where is MY CAKE?
This brother eats cake really fast.
This brother only eats the frosting.
Well, that's my birthday.
We all love you very much little Jonah,
thanks for being such a blessing to all.

Worship into the Week- Pray Earnestly.

Worship into the Week-
Pray Earnestly.
Matthew 9:35-38
Matthew 10:16-25
So many people to help,
 and nurture, and heal.
Jesus had compassion on the crowds,
as they were harassed and helpless.
Who will come to help the people?
There is a great need for
more workers in the Kingdom.

Then Jesus speaks to the apostles
 as He sends them out.
He warns that persecution will come.
But, he tells them not to worry.
Because the Holy Spirit will give you
 the words to speak,
the demeanor to engage others,
so depend on Him.
It is not an easy job-
you will be like sheep among the wolves.
But, don't worry about what
to say or how to say it-
you are not alone.

Green Springs Adventure

There was a lovely day this week
 to check out something OUTSIDE.
Green Springs Gardens- Alexandria, VA.
The pond had geese and babies
and turtles rising to the top of the pond
to let sunshine dapple their heads.
The big boys were the Adventure leaders.
We did ALL the paths
and they got to choose which way to go.
 Little guy loved screeching
 and cuddling Slothy.
 The Hydrangeas are in their
glory days right now.

There was plenty of place to run and "just be."
If it was a bit more crowded
 we whipped on our masks.
Outings are a bit more challenging
these days as the bathrooms are not "open."
We won't be gone long.
 Big Brother Levi told Isaiah-
"you need to hold my hand."
SO of course,
Gigi is pushing the stroller behind-
no one wanted to ride in it.
And in this quiet moment I prayed
for all the "quarantine mommas."

Dear Heavenly Father,
YOU SEE these days and how hard
they are all working to hibernate
little families together
and keep the normal working for them.
Give these mommas courage, fortitude and
creativity to lean into this precious time together.
Bless them with health and safety.
We lift them up to you
 for your tender care. Amen.

1 Thessalonians 5:11
"Therefore encourage one another
 and build each other up,
just as in fact you are doing."

Flag Day

 Flag Day.
The porch has the large gathering of peonies.
Not real ones this year.
But, it is that time of year.
The row of Yucca is heading into full bloom.
Will have to see if all six make it together.
The hydrangea is happy with a "less heat" day.
Spent some time in the yard this Sabbath
and reading my second George MacDonald book.
 Astible
Acanthus
The butterfly bush is pretty happy this year.
The yard is FULL of bees
 this year and butterflies.
This means that things are working
 well in the nature Kingdom.
A cooler than normal day-
with low humidity.
A relaxing Sabbath of rest.

Worship into the Week- Make Disciples

Worship into the Week-
Make Disciples
Matthew 28: 16-20
After the Resurrection the eleven disciples
headed to Galilee to the mountain
which Jesus had directed them.
They were still all over the place in trying
to process just what had happened
with the news reports of Jesus being alive.
He came to them with authority and spoke to them-
the Great Commission.
Go!
Make Disciples of all nations!
Baptize in the name of the Father,
 Son and Holy Spirit!
Teach them all I have taught you!
Remember- I am with you always!

A command to be engage
in the work of the KINGDOM-
beause we have that responsibility.
Because we have this Covenant relationship.
Yes- we are CALLED to be Witnesses.

All Shall Be Well

"All shall be well and all shall be well
and all manner of thing shall be well."
Julian of Norwich
Even in the days that I don't really
feel this very much - I just keep repeating it.
We must keep a heavenly focus.

John 16:33
“I have told you these things,
so that in me you may have peace.
In this world you will have trouble.
But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Witness to the Reign of God

I saved a quote this week and
I have been thinking about it a lot.
..."initiatives that engage in experiments
 to transform communities
by living out the convictions of an ancient faith
in the current challenging circumstances.
The awardees inspire Christian leaders
to consider our convictions and daily activities
so that we may more abundantly
bear witness to the reign of God."

I was going back to read more...
but I have no idea where I found these words....

so I will just continue to pray
about how I can more
abundantly bear witness to the reign of God.
