Readings for the end of the year service.
Not many churches have this gathering anymore.
But, it is very fitting to pause to have a reflective moment
as the year closes out.
So many things have kept us separated this year-
from people, events, choices.
So many times we might have felt-
abandoned, lost, and distressed.
We DO need reminded that God's everlasting love
for us serves as a restart, recharge reminder.
So much of these last two years has been spent fearful
of something we can not see.
We only see the results- the sick, the hurting,
those in the hospital and the death notices.
Lord, have mercy on us when we waiver.
Keep hope planted in our hearts.
Do not let us stumble when we feel distant from you.
Give us the courage to stand with might,
-as conquerors-because we stand with you.
Amen.
