 on the windowsill

A carved piece of wood-
 lightly brushed with Annie Sloan.
Perhaps this was a church pew end.

Grandpa holds Griffin and it will be his
 First Christmas.

Who will Griffin hold in 60 years?
 Our prayer is that Griffin holds a loved one-
and together they celebrate
 the Birthday of Jesus-
60 years from now.
