Easter Roundup 2024

He is Risen!   He is risen Indeed!  Alleluia!
Eastertide Greetings to you!

The Grandloves in a rare photo.
It took no adults to get them to be together
 (and still) for a photo.
Think this is a first.
This was a split second later.
This is real life right here.
Only little Lainey stays her sweet self yet.

Some sweet family photos.
We watched the celebration from Virginia this year
as Papa was healing from a hip replacement.
Gigi sent an Easter Story Bingo game.
It worked perfectly to play while
daddy Easter Bunny hid eggs outside.
Easter baskets- what fun!
And even Peeps!
Holy Week fun included dying Easter eggs.
They are big enough now to have their
own ideas about decorating!
And plenty of drama to go with the fun.

A fun part of the week together in Michigan

included going to a U of Michigan baseball game

to see Uncle Dan with the team.

Plenty of game time in the week
and learning new things.

What a blessing to celebrate together
and know the reason for our hope.
The Resurrection of Jesus changes everything.
We view the whole world through
 that Easter window view.

Easter Celebration- 2023

The Blessing of an Easter Celebration
 together in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

We love the opportunity to get the 10 Grands
together for a photo with Papa and Gigi.
This is real life folks.
WE are getting there....

Oldest daughter Jessica with her 3 boys.
Here at St Paul's where she is the first grade teacher
and oldest son Jack is in her class.
Husband Daniel was missing because of his work
as an athletic trainer at University of Michigan
 for the baseball team.
They play baseball on Easter.
Middle daughter Laura and husband Joshua
and their crew. This school is where their
two oldest children are enrolled in 3rd grade
 and Kindergarten.

Youngest daughter Sara and husband Joshua
and the matching boy squad. They live in Virginia
and love sporting their Spring flowers.

The two Princesses  had fun
in their pink twirly dresses.
What a fun foursome is this gang,
Cool ties dudes!
Suits, tie, bow ties and suspenders.
What a dapper group!
Food, fun and just hanging out!
Giving thanks for our eternal story because He Lives!!
Resurrection Gardens, dying eggs,
and some vintage Easter post cards.
Documenting that there was an Easter egg hunt.
And on to the next thing...
what a fun troop of #dengrandloves.

And this is fun as we will look back

and wonder how we moved them anywhere.

Some gathering in the house this Lenten

season as we look with Hope to Easter.

 vintage looking gatherings

fabric eggs and daily prayers
100 year old postcards on cigar press drawers
dainty punched heart
with crochet edge in a found nest
.
Gathering the signs of spring
and a whiff of a rain-soaked earth.

Easter 2021

Easter Sunday 2021
We had one split second
 for this shot.
Mayhem before and after.
Christ Is Risen!
He is Risen Indeed! Alleluia
The grandchildren helped to lead worship
 with Papa for Easter.
They sang all the songs we have been practicing
 by zoom during Lent.
Jack had made Resurrection eggs at Preschool
and he and the older boys told the Easter story.
Here is the gathered troops with parents-
(missing Wilson dad-Joshua.)
Miss Hadley in a vintage handmade ensemble.
(thanks Lisa Latall)
The Wilson crew
Hadley in a wardrobe change
for the day for the Easter egg hunt.
The Meier Boys.
Jess and Dan hosted our dinner
and a beautiful table was set.
We even had an amaryllis open its blooms
 on Easter morning.
(thank to friend Ms. Lee)
Dan smoked salmon for our dinner.
We added Hasselbeck potatoes, bacon-wrapped asparagus,
deviled eggs, 7 layer salad,
fresh strawberries, raspberries,
apple pie, and decorated treats.
The 2 kids tables.
It takes 2 tables with the 8 seated here.
Family shots and snuggles.
The youngest Hudson- steals the show.
Rachel and Kyle Thoms joined us for the day.
Rachel sneaks in a squeeze with her goddaughter- Hadley.
not sure what was so funny-
but such fun laughter here
always good to grab littles

John and his girls.
What a blessed family time and celebration.
We give thanks for the gifts and especially for
our Jesus who loves us so much He gave His life for us.

"He is not here, but has risen
Remember how he told you,
while he was still in Galilee.."

 but he is into it!
Hunting for eggs.
There's one- and on the run.
A Beautiful table set for a lovely
"Shelter in place" Easter meal.
Plaids, bow ties, and barefoot-
and a hat!
 The Wilson boys- Easter 2020.
Growing up and getting big.
 Everybody all together!
Fun to see what is in the baskets.
Great to be tall enough to find the egg!

We had a family worship Easter service by Zoom.
We Love the Prayer Shawl or "blanket" blessing time.
He is Risen!
He is Risen indeed!
Alleluia.
Though this has been a most unusual
Easter this year,
there is so much to give thanks for too.
He is good and gracious.
May there be healing
and recovery for our world.
