4th of July- 2025

Some very cute critters for 4th of July this year.
Some great face painting at our church--thanks Arla!

We watched the fireworks at the Springfield Country Club
from our church parking lot across the street.
They were great and we wondered why
we have only gone to see them the last 2 years.
Thanks Prince of Peace Lutheran Church for hosting!
Spotting some red, white and blue
for this season in the house.
Many of the these decorations
I have had for over 30 years.

This early summer I found this copper bucket,
added spindles for fillers and hand-sewn flags
and stars that I purchased for $2 each.
Love them all together.
Olde Glory and friends.

Vintage postcards have now met
 the 100 year old mark.
The carport refresh has a red, white
and blue spruce up.

Didn't use to do much decorating for 4th of July
 in the early years.
Then son-in-law Daniel joined the family.
He has a July birthday and is slightly obsessed
with 4th of July things.
He has a special birthday this year
and we will be hanging for a few days with our family.
So, thought I would pull out all the stops
and celebrate this fine young man.

I give thanks for our God and country
that we may at all times give Him glory.
Amen

God Bless America

Some 4th of July gatherings.
Red, white and blue sets the stage
for the rest of the summer.

Even the garden is playing along with the plan.
Starting top right- hydrangea,
and the blue of the chaste tree,
crocosmia, guard and begonia.

R,W and B dress up things here.

Gathered for a 4th picnic
on the deck with the Wilson family.
The boys and some back yard ball.
Over a hundred year old 4th of July postcards
add some fun here and there.

Succulents and flags.
The deep red of this mandevilla
complements the Little Miss America Folk art.
Adding in some photos
to mark the Michigan crew's 4th.
Hadley riding herd of rough and tumble.
The popsicle buddies.
Taking some time to pray
for the United States this week.
This Free download is available
 from Visual Faith® Ministry.

So many things to be thankful
 for this celebration of freedom.
May the Lord bless this country
and may she return to honoring Him.

Virginia Family Time- July 2021

The Denninger Clan- July 2021
Sparklers in your hula hoop circles-
(with careful supervision)
Cars and facepainting.
An obstacle course was named " The Baptism Course."
After completing the run-
there was a bucket of water to
dump over your head as you said-
"I am a baptized Child of God."
Snuggles, books and marble run with Papa.
Some fun ART CAMP
with mom and Aunt Jess.
Meal time scramble.
Meal time is all hands on deck.
Part One of a very blessed visit.

4th of July

 The girls of the 4th.
Coming out to celebrate
 a very different Independence Day-
in a COVID19 Quarantine world.
Somehow, it brings a sense of normalcy
to see the usual old things set up around the house.
Even if it is just us.
And Old Glory.

 Life, Liberty
and the Pursuit of Happiness.
 Gigi and Papa's Place
with a bit of red white and blue.
Some spangled stars
 on red and blue crates.
The banners are up, the garland is strewn
and the chaste tree is in full bloom.
A lovely blue tribute of giving thanks
for the freedom that we are blessed
to enjoy here in the United States.
May God Bless the USA!

FREEDOM Celebration

Some better lighting outside
for a gathering of 4th Decor.
Ms. Flying Angel with the flags
 and the book of Presidents.
Last entry is Eisenhower- 1953.
 A Betsy Ross school
musical playlet- undated.
A bit of vintage Mary Engelbreit.

An old book in a handmade frame.
 Stars and stripes on the
church pew with the quilts.

Papa and Gigi getting ready for the troops
to come home for a family celebration.
Papa and Gigi with the  boys-
 the SEVEN GRANDLOVES.
What fun with the troops!
 Draping the deck in
red, white and blue.
 Some back yard fun
 in-between rain showers.
You can't beat water play
when it is 90+ degrees and humid.
What a blessed day to be
all together for the 4th of July.
Thanks be to God!
