Hudson is 6!

 

Our camo guy is now six!

He is very particular about all the pieces

 and is always ready to go.

Back to school and celebrate a birthday- that's fun.

Made a bird house with Papa 

and dad helped with the finishing touches.

Nothing stops a celebration- 

even with no electricity from a storm.

(for 40 hours)

Celebrating with brothers is always special.

Here's mom. She is often taking the photos 

so we don't always get her in a picture.

Hey Dad! What a surprise- a new bike.

So some creativity found places to celebrate 

when the electiricty is down.

Finding ice cream is always a winner 

with Grandpa and Grandma Meier.

We love you much dear Hudson.

Lainey is Five!

 

First day of Pre-K and turning 5.

All in the same day for Lainey Ella Christine.

Fun for big sister to have Lainey

 at school with all the siblings.

Birthday breakfast is always 

better with a crown to wear.

A favorite birthday gift- 

a baby doll like big sister.

Such a great smile on a sweet little girl.

Lainey is always up to something 

and doesn't miss anything.

The blessing of the youngest is a gift

 to this Schumacher family each and every day.

Jonah is 7!

This young man turned 7 this month.

Jonah- the Sloth King.

He had a great birthday celebration 

and we love watching his growing love for reading.

Can't go wrong with a cake this great.

 

A tackle box and fishing poles

 and he is ready to take his brothers and go fishing.

We always love a bit of outdoor fun.

On his birthday it was baseball

 and down for the championship game.

In a stunning upset and "come from way behind"

 they pulled off a win.  What a fun end to the season.

So this made for an extra special birthday event.

Charlie is 8!

 

That is a big smile for this birthday boy.

Charlie is eight! 

There are 3 family birthdays in May for this family.

He is on his way to a great new year!

A drone, scooter, and a WHY book.

Some fun treats.

A brand new tackle box for some

 summer time fishing adventures.

Looks like little brother Hudson 

made a great card for brother Charlie.

A yummy treat cake.

Everyone is ready for some of that.

Maybe even a second piece for the birthday guy?

We pray for the Lord to bless you

in this next year and keep you safe.

May you continue to grow as a young man 

learning more and more 

about living as a follower of Jesus.

Jack is Ten

 

The boys of 2016 are turning TEN this year.

Jack is officially in double digits.

 

Have any idea what this kid loves?

Baseball and ice cream are sure on the list.

Jack we love your fun spirit 

and go getter agenda with anything 

outside and with a ball.

May you continue to learn and grow 

in the shadow of God's hand.

We trust that the Spirit is working in your heart

as you grow as a child of God.

April 2026 Round Up

 

Catching up with some of the events 

and updates for April 2026.

Easter Sunday in Michigan with the

Meiers and Schumachers.

Easter Worship  at St Peter's - Hemlock, Michigan.

We arrived early and picked out "our" row.

John and I with the Michigan grands.

(but Lainey ain't having it.)

Easter Joy ! Jesus is Alive!

The Wilson family in Springfield.

Some of the fun included Easter egg dying,

a kid-made charcuterie board and 

lovely flowers from the neighbors.

We shared a  lovely Easter meal

 and all the Michigan troops were able to be there.

We cleaned out three art classrooms for Laura 

and reset them for the art sub coming in

 to finish the school year. I fell in love with these bunnies

 that were made by some of Laura's second grade students.

Other highlights this month:  

*Jonah had a piece of art selected for the Pyramid Art show.

*Hudson "signed" to attend first grade 

at St. Paul Lutheran in Ann Arbor, Michigan.'

*Sara celebrated her last birthday in the 30's.

*Visual Faith® Ministry was blessed to help put together a 

Sip and Paint and a Women's Connection event 

at Prince of Peace in Springfield, Virginia.

Griffin is 12

 Griffin turned 12 this month.

We were able to be with him to celebrate.

The whole family was together 

in the midst of the upcoming move.

That was the best gift.

Everyone had fun watching the gift opening.

Some new shoes was a treat.

A fun day hanging out with a special friend.

Fun things with clay and the pottery wheel.

Another cake and celebration.

Way to go!!!

Time with the cousin gang is always a good thing.

Griffin - what fun to see you growing up!

Isaiah is 8

We love his ready and easy smile.
