Saul's Conversion
Acts 9
Currently we are leading a Footsteps of Paul
tour in Greece.
So I have been thinking about St Paul
from morning to night.
This spectacular story of his conversion
was only the beginning of the Spirit-led life
that was to follow.
It begins with a voice and vision that transformed Saul.
It became the unwavering life of a man with a vision
of his calling in the world and the ability to use his voice
to proclaim the good news of a Risen Saviour.
He learned who the people were and the avenue
where he might meet them enroute to their hearts.
He had a method to his plan of starting
in the Jewish synagogue.
He placed himself in places where the people
would come to him as the tentmaker
with the best tents in Corinth.
He was unshaken by beatings and imprisonment
and even used those opportunities for good in Philippi
and every where else in was held in chains.
Remarkable is only the beginning,
once an understanding begins of the routes and places
he went by foot 2,000 years ago.
Saul was a brilliant man with a plan that God used
to change the course of His Kingdom.
We do well to learn Kingdom building
methods from a master.
