Bible Marginalia Series #100
This page brings together the stories told of
"Woe to Unrepentant Cities"
and
"Come to Me and I will Give you Rest."
The first one shows Jesus telling the people of
Chorizin, Bethsaida and Capernaum that
it will be worse for them than Sodom.
They have not believed the miracles
that happened right there.
Right in the middle of it all
and they did not repent.
Then right after this-
he gives thanks to His Father,
that He hid things from the wise,
and revealed them to the children.
And Jesus invites all to come to him,
that they may find rest.
Learn from me- Jesus tells them.
For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
Certainly a picture of some of the challenges
that Jesus had to face
in the days of his earthly living.
Jesus faced discouragement
in his ministry life,
and prayed over hardened hearts,
that refused to see Him as Lord and Savior.
That is still our prayer in ministry life today.
