Bible Marginalia Series- #279
Proverbs 11:25
Sometimes I am just running out of steam.
Too much, too often,
and too little of the next thing.
Out of balance.
In some quiet time-
I used a simple prayer card
that I usually color in-
and added it to the page for the reference
in my interleaved Bible.
Then simply started filling
in the space with doodles.
Traced a couple of circles to get started-
and then sat and drew
and prayed this verse.
Who was in need of refreshment?
Who did the Holy Spirit need to enrich?
Somehow at then end of this time-
no color-
just plain old black pen on paper
and a quiet calm of refreshment
was "just there".
Can't ask for more than that-
a simple process-
a refreshing time in prayer - for others-
and I was refreshed too.
Supplies:
Proverbs prayer card
Fine point Sharpie pen- non-bleeding
Washi tape
Colored pencil
