Titus 2: 11-14
Worship into the Week
This section was read for
worship this weekend.
The church we were visiting
was finishing up a series
on the Fruits of the Spirit.
Movement of the Spirit on our behalf
is always a gift of the Holy Spirit.
Moving forward in a life of sanctification
is never about trying harder or doing more.
The great gift we have all received
is that the grace of God has appeared-
bringing salvation for ALL people.
Our part is to be "in-training"
to renounce ungoliness and world passions
and to Live self-controlled, upright,
and godly lives in the present age,
waiting for our blessed hope,
the appearing of the glory of our great God
and Savior Jesus Christ."
Self-control flows from God's grace.
Our response flows from God's grace also.
Now that is unaltered pure grace.
So we are now Living with self-control
in a world
that is out of control.
Praying this week to seek ways
to live in a more self-controlled manner.
