U.S. Botanical Gardens visit- Orchid Mystique

Caught the late part of a Sunday afternoon on April 1 to visit a favorite spot downtown DC.  Seems like we get there for the Christmas display and miss the time when the orchids are in standout bloom.
Although I have a great love and appreciation of the beauty of these lovely flowers, my personal efforts to grow and cultivate them seemingly are short-lived. So although I don't have the names of particular varieties, I am enamored with the delicate colorings and vivid display of color.  Enjoy the brilliance of a walk through the orchid display..........tomorrow I'll add some other floral sightings.
