Mystery Gift

This baby in a family- brings great joy.

But, it is a reminder of the journey that 

leads to Holy Week and the cross.

All of our earthly life is the 

hand in hand swing between 

joy and sorrow.

When one leads- 

the other follows.

"The ransomed of the Lord shall return,

and come to Zion with singing;

everlasting joy shall be upon their heads;

they shall obtain joy and gladness

and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."

Isaiah 35:10

Life events- even those filled with JOY-

have a brooding shadow of death.

It is the rhythm of expectation

that outlines our days.

This holy family-centered in Christmas

celebration is also the visual reminder-

of the mystery that marks our earthly days-

of the victory of life over death.
