Oh Jerusalem-
thinking of your doors and entries
walkways and paths
this Palm Sunday.
this Palm Sunday.
Luke 19: 37 "And as he was drawing near-
already on the way down the Mount of Olives-
the whole multitude of his disciples
began to rejoice and praise God
with a loud voice for all the
mighty works that they had seen, saying.
Blessed is the King
who comes in the name of the Lord!
already on the way down the Mount of Olives-
the whole multitude of his disciples
began to rejoice and praise God
with a loud voice for all the
mighty works that they had seen, saying.
Blessed is the King
who comes in the name of the Lord!
Peace in heaven
and glory in the highest!"
and glory in the highest!"
v.39 And some of the Pharisees
in the crowd said to him,
"Teacher, rebuke your disciples".
"He answered,
"I tell you, if these were silent,
the very stones would cry out."
when I heard this verse read -
I pictured small rocks and pebbles
along the path.
The massive stone in the photo above
is what might have been
more abundant
in the place where Jesus
entered the city of Jerusalem.
Large rocks, Large- scale.
Jerusalem could NOT be silent
when THE KING entered.
Triumphal entry.
The start of Holy Week.
The beginning of the Passion.
