Bible Marginalia Series- #145
Jeremiah speaks the truth.
The people had moved far from
obedience to the Lord.
Jeremiah implored them
to mend their ways
and deeds.
We don't like hearing that
we need to reverse course.
Jeremiah spoke the words
of the Lord to the people.
He did not hold back.
v. 3 It may be they will listen.
OR NOT.
Somehow in this time
and place in the world-
it certainly seems like
the people do not OBEY
the voice of the LORD.
It makes me wonder what will be
God's righteous judgment on the people
who do not mend their ways.
Lord, let our hearts be malleable.
Let our pride crumble.
Shine the light on the ways to repent-
to be on our knees before you.
Amen.
