Worship into the Week-
Isaiah 40: 1-11
Sin had brought destruction to Jerusalem
because they had walked away from obedience to God.
At the hands of the Babylonians,
there was great loss and suffering.
The people wondered why it would end.
Is there hope for the future?
The word of comfort here is about restoration and
reconciliation of God to his people.
The hope and promise of this comfort is found in Jesus.
The image of the Shepherd holding a lamb is
significant for portraying this gentle holding of His people.
Today when challenges, loss, and grief overwhelm,
we can picture the Shepherd close by.
Lean back and listen to the heartbeat.
