Potter and the Clay--- Isaiah 64: m1-9
Here we have Isaiah pleading with God to
"come down" and intervene
in the affair of the nations.
We see that God's presence is like a melting fire
that makes the nations tremble.
But, we are all unclean, we fade like a leaf,
and the wind takes us away.
But, there is a Father who claims us.
"We are the clay and you are our potter;
we are all the work of your hand."
We can let God shape and mold our thinking,
because He is right, true and good.
We push and tear at this direction
from our God- who loves us so much.
He is making something good out of me.
This beginning of Advent-
how do you want to shape me?
